France’s financial regulator, the Autorité des Marchés Financiers (AMF) published (March 4, 2015 ) an updated list of websites that offer binary options trading in France but that lack the proper authorization to do so.
The criterion for inclusion on the list is that there is a website offering binary options trading, but that no authorized investment services provider could be clearly identified as operating the site.
You can view an English version of the list by clicking here.
The AMF warned that these websites may change their names very quickly and so the list is not necessarily exhaustive.
It also again warned retail investors regarding aggressive internet advertising campaigns for binary option trading that claim high winnings in very short periods of time.
If you look at many of the sites on the list they will look good, well designed, professional and inviting. There is little to indicate that there are problems.
And in some cases there might not be a problem.
But why are they offering services without first acquiring the proper authorization? And why would you take an unnecessary risk by having anything to do with them?
It’s a further warning to traders to be careful. But it’s also good to see regulators providing this sort of information.
